I make a lot of images with a destined end: as illustrations for books, for cards, for fabric. I love doing all of that, but I also like to paint with no destination in mind and with no one else to approve or collaborate on the process. The wandering that I do in my own painting keeps me alive creatively and feeds all of my other work.
I sell prints and scarves at http://www.juliepaprika.com . A tree crushed my studio on April 29th . Repairs are now completed. I am back in my studio and my Paprika site is open again.
I show my work at the i.e. gallery in Edison, Washington.
I use gouache and ink on paper.Many of my paintings are for sale as prints at Julie Paprika. as high quality archival giclee prints on thick rag paper.
