Most of my paintings are gouache and ink on paper. I also make work with different media like cut paper, stencil, embroidery and bread. The wandering that I do in my studio work keeps me alive creatively and feeds all of my other work.
Here are some of the paintings, below. This page shows new and old work, and some of that old work is already sold. If you are interested in purchasing work, please go to the i.e. gallery. Thank you!
In November I will be having a show with my husband, Joe Max Emminger at the SAM Gallery in Seattle. The show is called Duets. We will each show individual paintings on that theme, and we will show a group of paintings that we collaborated on as well.

This spring I was part of a group show along with Deborah Mersky and Margaret Chodos-Irvine at the i.e gallery in March 2025 called Troika: Head, Body, Legs. The first 8 images (four paintings and four scrolls) are my part of that show. Jugheads is a series of woman/jugs. I am lucky to come from a line of creative women. My mother is a potter and I grew up with a love of dishes and decoration This series is a tribute to my mother, grandmother, aunts and other women in my life. The papercuts have cardboard frames inspired by Tramp Art. The banners are stenciled with textile ink and gouache onto linen buckram, a cloth often used for binding books.
